Hi I'm Graham,  some of you will probably know me if not by name than possibly by face.  I live on Bryher and along with my wife we run Hillside Farm and Scilly Chilli.  I have always enjoyed doing DIY and especially electrical work.  We also have three holiday lets and when it comes to getting our electrical appliances tested we always struggled to find someone to do it.  So in August 2023 I decided to attend a training course to enable me to do our own testing.  After completing the training and sitting the exam(and passing) I was asked by other property owners on Bryher if I would be able to do their appliance testing.  I quickly realised that there was a demand for this across all the islands so that's when I decided to start offering this service.  The same thing happened with our domestic appliances, when the prices of white goods kept increasing it made perfect sense to repair rather than replace,  most items can be repaired relatively easily.
